Soldiers have prevented some activists of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from holding a press conference at the Ramsey Park in the Upper East Region.

Details of the development are very sketchy but it is gathered that party members had scheduled to embark on a float and later address the media to express their gratitude to the President Akufo Addo resident for removing Rockson Bukari as the Upper East Regional Minister.

Trickling details gathered by Atinka News Reporter, Senyalah Castro Cazo, also have it that another group from the New Patriotic Party foiled the intentions of the first group and stopped the planned media engagement and float.

Members of the Upper East Regional NPP executives are mute on the issue.

Calm has returned to the venue. There's been no panic and businesses around that area are open and running.

The Military have since been taken over the venue with frequent visit from their base at the Regional Coordinating Council.
