Some soldiers have allegedly brutalized traders at race course following the allocation of sheds at the market.

All traders who operate around the Adum Pampaso, Suame roundabout, Komfo Anokye and Dr. Mensa were asked to vacate the premises and relocate their shops.

A number of military officers stormed the race course market today to maintain law and order at the chaotic market.

They are said to have subjected some of the traders to severe beatings, following their(the traders) resistance to comply with them.

An eyewitness, Kwame Sarfo, who confirmed the incident to Abusua News’ reporter Osei Kwadwo, said one person has been hospitalized at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) after the military officers brutalized the traders.

A victim, Yaw Marfo, said the soldiers whipped them, leaving wounds on their bodies.

“I’m not feeling well and I can’t even stand because of how the military men assaulted me. They told us to leave here and all of a sudden, they started beating us without any provocation,” he said.
