Soldier who died a month to his wedding to be buried today

The mortal remains of the late Lieutenant Felix Tei Sormenah, the handsome Ghanaian soldier who died under tragic circumstances just a month before his wedding, will be laid to rest on Friday, November 2, 2018.

This is according to the funeral poster for Lt. Sormenah which has been sighted YEN.com.gh.

Lt. Sormenah, the funeral poster discloses, will be buried at the Military Cemetery in Accra after a burial service.

The burial service will be held at the Teshie Camp Methodist Presbyterian Church at 7:00 am.

It will be recalled that YEN.com.gh broke the news of the death of Lt. Sormenah which occurred on September 7.

Lt. Sormenah, an officer with at the Air Force Base in Takoradi, had was knocked down by a taxi while he went on training with some recruits.

The driver who knocked him down failed to stop, leaving the recruits to struggle to get a car to take him to the hospital, where died after three days on admission.

The circumstances leading to his death were bizarre and painful, and led to an emotional outburst on social media.

But even more painful was the news that the handsome-looking Sormenah was set to get married to his fiancée, Maame Efua Addison, on October 6.

According to award-winning journalist Mabel Aku Banaseh who shared the news of his death on Facebook, the late soldier was a fine brain with a promising future and it is hurting that he is no more.

For such a man, it was not so surprising to to see many people heartbroken over his death.
