Sixty-nine-year old man defiles five-year old girl

Cape Coast, June 09, GNA- A Cape Coast circuit court on Friday remanded a 69-year old tailor, Kwesi Amissah from Aboom, a suburb of Cape Coast, for two weeks for defiling a five-year-old girl. The accused pleaded not guilty and the presiding judge, Mr Mustapha Logoh, remanded him to re-appear on Friday June 23.

Prosecuting, Chief inspector Augustine Amonoo said the accused resides in the same house with the victim and her parents at Aboom. On May 30, the victim retuned from school late in the evening the mother saw bloodstains in her pant so she took her to the Central Regional Hospital at Cape Coast where the medical doctor that she had been defiled.

She said the accused person defiled her that morning before she left for school.

A report was made to the police and he was arrested
