Six million cedis raised in aid of street lights

Chiefs and people of Pakro near Nsawam at the week-end organised a forum to raise an amount of six million cedis in aid of their street lights project.

Speaking at the function, Mr John Wossey, assemblyman for the area, said the money would be used to purchase about electric bulbs for the project.

Mr Wossey praised the people for their generous contributions at the function and urged them keep it up.

Mr Seth Danquah Wiafe, Member of Parliament for Akuapem South promised the people an amount of one million cedis from his share of the Common Fund towards the project.

Nana Yaw Kese 11, chief of the town, who chaired the occasion, urged the people to continue to make positive contributions towards developent programmes in the area to help better their lot.
