Six die at Ntoaso

Nsawam, April 3, GNA - Three male adult, two female adult, and one m= ale child of about four years old are yet to be identified by the Nsawam Poli= ce after a passenger Benz vehicle travelling from Nkawkaw to Accra collided with an articulator truck also coming from Accra at Ntoaso near Nsawam at=

about 7pm on Thursday.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency, DSP Alex Wowolo said 21 passengers w= ho are also in critical condition are all on admission at the Nsawam Governm= ent Hospital, whiles the deceased have been deposited at the same hospital fo= r autopsy.

DSP Wowolo said the incident occurred when the driver from Nkawkaw swerved to save a 65year old man who was trying to cross the road and collided with the articulator. DSP Wowolo said Mr Philip Tetteh, the driver of the articulator, has=

been detained by the police whereas Mr Omani, the driver of the passenger=

car, is also in critical condition at the same hospital. The commander appealed to the Nkawkaw drivers union of the GPRTU and=

parents to come and assist the police to identify the persons, and also appealed to drivers to stop over speeding and over taking and save more lives during the Easter holidays.
