Six die at Gomoa Mbrumem

Apam (C/R), Nov. 23, GNA - Three women and three children died on the spot while 14 others were injured when a taxi and a mini bus were involved in an accident on the Winneba/Cape Coast highway at Gomoa Mbrume= m near Apam Junction on Saturday. Speaking to Ghana News Agency at Apam Chief Inspector Benjamin Allotey said the dead were mostly women who were selling watermelon with their children by the roadside. He said the driver of the taxi, a prison officer who had only learner's license, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the bus. Mr Allotey said 10 of the injured were admitted at the Apam Cathol= ic Hospital. He said none of the dead had so far been identified.
