Aspiring Member of Parliament for Shai Osudoku on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party NPP), Benjamin Nargeh on Saturday, 29th March, 2020 led a Health Walk in the Shai Osudoku constituency to spur and energize the supporters of the party for effective campaigns ahead of the December 2020 general elections.

The Walk, supported by the constituency executives of the party as part of campaign activities for the NPP parliamentary candidate for the area, drew hundreds of supporters of the party and ordinary residents through various communities of the constituency.

The several-kilometre Walk started at Ayikuma through the principal streets of Dodowa and ended at the Dodowa lorry park with some aerobics.

The walk, according to the organizers, was meant to help encourage the need for healthy living through physical exercises.

Mr. Benjamin Nargeh addressing the participants after the exercise said the youth have spoken and change in the parliamentary representation of Shai Osudoku was imminent.

“My brothers, okada, taxi drivers, trotro drivers, I came to develop Shai and Osudoku,” said Mr. Nargeh to a teeming crowd of enthusiastic supporters.

“There is no hope for the youth, your hope for development is NPP, your hope for development is Benjamin Nargeh and the great party, NPP.”

Mr. Nargeh who chastised the NDC for occupying the parliamentary position of the constituency since 1992 without improving the lot of the constituents said today’s youth were disillusioned with the parliamentary leadership of the constituency.

“The question I want to ask is, our forefathers, fathers and mothers did not benefit from the NDC so what do we the youth hope to gain from NDC?” he queried.

The parliamentary candidate in an interview expressed his satisfaction at the turn out in participation and described it as phenomenal, adding that it would put the fear of the Lord in his opponents in the NDC.

A sportsman himself, Benjamin Nargeh called on Ghanaians to exercise regularly as their physical well-being was critical to achieving their aim of change in the Shai Osudoku parliamentary leadership and assured them of his support in their physical training activities.

Mr. Nargeh is a celebrated sportsman who owns the Royal Football Academy with players from various parts of the country and some West African countries.

District Chief Executive for Shai-Osudoku, Daniel Akuffo who joined the walk described Mr. Nargeh as a spirited youthful parliamentary candidate capable of wrestling the seat from the grips of the opposition NDC and urged his constituents to vote for the NPP and its parliamentary candidate to embark on more developmental projects for the area.

On his part, Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer of the Party, Moses Abor described Mr. Nargeh’s rescue mission as “an unstoppable movement”.

Mr. Abor who said the Greater Accra Regional branch of the party is impressed with the movement being embarked on by the parliamentary candidate said the entire constituency are rooting for Benjamin Nargeh to annex the seat.

He was hopeful that the party would maintain or increase its 21 seats in the region with the victory of Benjamin NArgeh in the Shai Osudoku district, adding that the regional branch of the party was solidly behind the Shai Osudoku Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of the party.

The walk also formed parts of efforts of the parliamentary candidate to create awareness on the importance of exercising and promote healthy living as it forms part of the parliamentary candidate’s commitment to promote good health among his constituents.

Party executives who took part in the walk included the District Chief Executive for Shai-Osudoku, Daniel Akuffo, Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Devine Otoo-Agorhom, Greater Accra Regional youth organizer, Moses Abor, the Constituency Chairman, Fred Offei, and the Constituency Youth Organiser, Kenneth Nartey.
