Shai Osudoku MP launches cooperative union for women

The Member of Parliament for Shai Osudoku, Hon Linda Ocloo has officially launched the Shaiosudoku Cooperative Union in Dodowa within the precincts of the Dodowa Central Market in the Greater Accra Region.

According to Hon. Ocloo, the main reason for instituting the Shaiosudoku Cooperative Union is aimed at assisting businessmen and women in the constituency to grow their businesses.

Hon. Linda Ocloo explained that the loan facility has been categorized into three folds namely silver, diamond and gold.

She said the silver attracts a loan of Ghc 500, diamond Ghc 1000 and gold Ghc 2000 with 10% interest per year.

‘Each member of the group is entitled to take the loan four times the amount per each category’ Hon. Linda Ocloo added.

So far, 48 groups have been formed in the constituency as the shaiosudoku cooperative union swing into action.

On her part, Member of Parliament for Ada constituency, Hon Comfort Doryo urged beneficiaries to pay back the loan on time.

Taking turn, Member of Parliament for Jirapa, Hon Francis Dakora commended Hon. Linda Ocloo for coming up with such a nice initiative to support her constituents.

The Shaiosudoku Cooperative Union is a newly constituted non-partisan people’s cooperative almost One Thousand Registered members of Men and Women of Shaiosudoku District who are desirous of pulling their resources together in order to support themselves in developing their small-scale businesses and emancipating themselves from want and need.
