The Acting Principal Of Kibi Presbyterian College of Education(KPCE), Rev.Charles Fosu Ayarkwa has described as shameful the increasing cases of the amorous relationship between teachers and Students in the country.

According to him, it is time stakeholders collectively help to nip the problem in the bud due to its negative implications on education.

Rev. Fosu Ayarkwa however says, the Kibi Presbyterian College of Education has instituted counselling programs where teacher trainees particularly graduating trainees are provided professional counselling on sexual discipline in particular, to ensure that none of their students get involve in any sexual predating issue.

He added that teachers who cannot control their lust have been advised to get married as early as possible to enjoy his/her partner instead of sexually abusing their pupils.

The acting Principal of KPCE said this in an interview with Kasapa News Saturday, June 9, 2018.

The growing incidents of sexual abuse in Schools has triggered calls by Coalition Against Sexual Abuse, for Ghana Education Service (GES) to take steps to tackle sexual abuse menace.

Rev.Fosu Ayarkwa believes that, the introduction of the Teachers license examination would help sanitize and maintain quality standard in the teaching profession, therefore, urged teachers to be discipline and upgrade their career.
