Seventh-Day Adventists induct new National Executives

Oyibi, Dec. 6, GNA - The Ghana Union Conference (GUC) of the Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) has inducted its new National Executive officers at a joint worship service of the Valley View University Church and delegates of the Third Quin Quennial Session of the GUC of the SDA. The National Team would be led by Pastor Samuel Adama Larmie as National President, with Pastor kwame Kwanin-Boakye as the Executive Secretary and Elder Isaac Owusu Aponsem as the National Treasurer. Other departmental directors include Pastor Peter Osei Mensah, Chaplaincy Director, Pastor Felix Adu-Gyamfi, Ministerial Secretary and Family Ministries, Pastor Paul Adu Sampah, Stewardship and Strategic Planning, Pastor Nii Lante Thompson, Youth Director and Pastor Abraham Peter Mensah, Sabbath School and Voice of Prophecy.

The rest are Pastor Thomas Takyi Ocran, Personal Ministries and Evangelism, Pastor Thomas Anane Afari, Publishing and Global Missions, Pastor Peter Nyarko Duodu, Military Chaplaincy Mrs Solace Yawa Hlordzie, Communication and Pubic Affairs and Religious Liberty, Madam Margaret Osei, Women and Children's Ministries and Mr Peter Yaw Frempah, Education Director.

In his Sermon Pastor Gilbert Warri, President of the West Central SDA, challenged modern Christians to have time for God's Word. He said it was only through fervent prayers and the studying of God's Word, the Bible that the truth of God's hidden secrets of eternal life and wisdom would be revealed.

Speaking on the theme: "Safeguarding the New Experience," Pastor Warri appealed to Christians to eschew selfishness and cultivate the act of sharing both material blessings and the Word of God with others. Pastor Warri told the newly inducted officers "We must learn to give the youth the genuine truth so that they do not run after fake prophets for falsehood that would aggrevaite their blindness.
