Seven arrested for robbery at Ashaiman – Police

Seven individuals have been arrested by the Tema Regional Police Command in connection with a robbery incident at Ashaiman Sakasaka Park and Dagomba Junction in the Greater Accra Region.

According to a report by 3news.com, on June 24, 2025, the suspects allegedly attacked and robbed some residents at gunpoint.

Items stolen during the operation included an iPhone 12 Pro Max, a Samsung A03 Core, a backpack containing a Dell laptop and charger, a power bank, an Infinix Hot 40i, and an undisclosed amount of money.

Police, with assistance from members of the public, arrested two suspects, Moses Kwame Helu and Jonathan Osabutey, at the scene.

Further operations based on intelligence led to the arrest of Robert Amekudzi and a juvenile (name withheld), who were found with a stolen backpack and laptop.

Two more suspects, Bernard Dzumador and another juvenile who were also arrested, had in their possession an iPhone and a Samsung phone stolen from the victims.

A statement issued by the police and signed by the Head of Public Affairs at the Tema Region, ASP Dede Dzakpasu, on Monday, June 23, confirmed that all suspects are in custody and assisting with investigations.

They are expected to be put before court soon.
