Sergeant William Sakyi-Offei appeals to Ghanaians to stay safe and abide by Presidential order

Sergeant William Sakyi-Ofei, a Ghanaian born British Army Personnel has appealed to Ghanaians to obey the commander in chief of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo’s order to stay at home and abide by the safety and health protocols.

The chairman of Ghanaians in the British Army who is also a journalist said the coronavirus is real and the world is at war with it, so no one should take it as a joke.

According to Sakyi-Ofei who has been in the United Kingdom for some time and has experienced many situations, the pandemic is killing people all over, and Ghanaian who are part of the people in the world must take precaution and protect themselves.

Speaking to Yours Truly on telephone, he expressed that he has family and friend in Ghana who he cannot lose to the coronavirus, so every Ghanaian should stay at home as directed to stop the spread of the covid-19 as it is also called and sanitize or wash hands regularly with soap under running water.

“We are at war, we cannot see the enemy because it is a virus, so I plead with Ghanaians and Africans to stay safely and be on guard” he stressed.

According to him, a line of Ghanaians in the British Army are also appealing to their friends and families to abide by the health protocols and the presidential order.

“Life is precious, we need each other, we make the world so we have to save the world. This is a serious war against an invisible enemy, so we must not joke at all as everyone is at risk” he stressed.

The member of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) and AIPS commended his colleague military men in Ghana for displaying professionalism in maintaining peace and order, as well as being self-discipline.

He urged them to continue with the good job and give a human face to whatever their doing in this crucial moment.

He also commended the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo for his leadership and timely interventions.
