Sekyere East Education Directorate, MP honor teachers

Member of Parliament for Effiduasi/Asokore constituency, Dr Nana Ayew Afriye in partnership with the district education Directorate have awarded some teachers in the constituency for their relentless effort in improving the standard o educations especially in the basic schools level.

The teachers were eulogized for improving BECE results in the last years compared to the previous years.

Some of the items given to hardworking teachers includes Flat screen televisions, laptops, and deep freezer's, computers, blender and cash prizes.

Nsiah Moses, a math teacher, Effiduasi SDA JHS who was awarded over all best teacher in the District said “I’m grateful for this recognition. Every teacher should use this as a motivation to teach passionate as there is reward for everything. Next year’s result will be better”

The Member of Parliament says “our pass rate has been low till this year. We had to intervene by recruiting pupil’s teachers and other support to enable focus on the students for a better result. This aim we have achieved as the BECE results this years has improved. This award to celebrate teachers and students for their role in achieving this success.”
