Financial Analyst, Sidney Casley-Hayford has taken on government describing the seizure of mining equipment belonging to Exton Cubic Group Limited as politically motivated.

“There is absolutely no reason for anybody to go and seize these equipment supposedly doing no illegal mining activity”, he believes.

According to him, information available indicates Exton Cubic Group Limited, owned by Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, younger brother of former President John Dramani Mahama has legal documents to mine at Nyinahin bauxite concession in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.

“I have always wondered who actually is in charge of controlling laws at the district level?… We now have a Regional Minister saying something and District Chief Executive doing something else”, the social commentator observed.

Mr. Sidney Casely-Hayford who accused Mr. Ibrahim Mahama of engaging in illegality chickened out from his earlier stance claiming he was misled by the media.

“I really had to sit back and rethink what the media have been reported. …the media reporting has been more sensational than factual because of the fact that it is Ibrahim Mahama and his brother we claimed was running a corrupt government”.

“If I put all these aside and take Ibrahim Mahama out of the equation and look at the Exton Cubic as registered company, it is unfortunate”, he stated on Citi FM’s Big Issue.
