The management of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has permanently barred five former students from entering the university’s campus after declaring them persona non grata.
In a statement issued on March 13, 2026, the university explained that the individuals had previously been dismissed in 2025 but had continued to return to the campus and engage in activities that disrupted academic and administrative operations.
The statement, which was signed by the Deputy Registrar of the University Relations Office, Daniel Norris Bekoe, on behalf of the Registrar, indicated that the decision was necessary to maintain order on the campus.
According to the university, the move forms part of efforts to ensure safety and discipline within the institution.
“KNUST remains committed to enforcing its regulations and maintaining a safe and secure environment that supports teaching, learning, research and community engagement,” the statement noted.
The five individuals affected by the directive are Bernard Boadi, Francis Tutu Atuahene, John Kelvin Kane, Roland Botwe Nsiah and Felix Acquah.
“The University therefore wishes to inform the public, particularly members of the University community, that these persons are prohibited from entering or remaining on the KNUST campus,” the statement added.
Management further warned that any attempt by the individuals to enter the campus would attract legal action.
