School of Communication Studies receives library books

Accra, Nov. 23, GNA - The School of Communications Studies, University of Ghana, Legon, has received books on Communication and Media to enhance research and learning.

The donation was a collaborative effort of the Management of the Public Relations Students Society of America (PRSA) at the James Madison University, Virginia, USA, and the Global Media Alliance (GMA). A statement issued by GMA said the books include Public Relations, Advertising, Telecommunications Journalism and management. Ms Brooke Nuwati, Corporate Communications Manager of Global Media Alliance who made the donation, said the presentation formed part of the two organisations' social corporate responsibility to promote excellence in communication.

"Being communication outfits, we know the true value of effective communication and its role in national development," she said. "We are always happy to contribute our quota to promote excellence in this all important field of communication. We hope students will benefit immensely from these books."

Dr Audrey Gadzekpo, Acting Director of the Department who received the donation, thanked the two institutions. She said the donation would enhance teaching and learning at the Department as well as promote excellence in the field of communication. 23 Nov. 09
