Scam Alert: I have never asked anyone to raise funds to build boreholes – NPA boss

Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) Hassan Tampuli is asking the general public to report persons soliciting financial support from individuals in his name.

His concern comes on the back of certain people hiding under the guise of constructing boreholes for communities using the NPA chief’s name.

A press statement copied to GhanaWeb and signed by the CEO of NPA Hasan Tampuli said “my attention has been drawn to a group/ individual (s) using my name to solicit financial support from individuals and organizations, under the guise of constructing boreholes for them in their communities. It is a SCAM!”

“I have never asked anyone or any group of persons to raise funds on my behalf to build a borehole, or undertake any community projects anywhere, he noted.

Mr. Tampuli further requested the public to “please report such groups or individual(s) to the security agencies for their immediate arrest”.
