The New Patriotic Party, along with other political groups in Ghana, organised a protest to oppose the petition for the removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo.

Dubbed #SaveTheJudiciaryDemo, the demonstration saw a significant turnout of concerned citizens and party supporters who, guided by their leaders and executives, echoed their concerns and submitted a petition urging government action.

While prominent party figures played a leading role in the event, many grassroots supporters were equally active, adding depth to the demonstrators' collective voice.

Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin

Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, the Minority Leader and Effutu MP, was pictured in a striking all-black attire, complemented by a neatly coordinated flat cap.

John Boadu

Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, John Boadu, attended the protest to show his support.

Richard Ahiagbah

Likewise, Richard Ahiagbah, the party's Communications Director, was also present.

Justin Kodua Frimpong

Justin Kodua Frimpong, the current General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, was also present at the demonstration, lending his voice to the call for an impartial and accountable judiciary.

Dr Stephen Amoah

The Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Dr Stephen Amoah, was also in attendance, lending his support to the cause.

Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum

The former Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, was one of the NPP members at the protest on May 5, 2025.

Dr Bernard Okoe-Boye

Bernard Okoe-Boye, a former MP in the Seventh Parliament of Ghana’s Fourth Republic representing Ledzokuku, was also spotted at the protest.

Henry Nana Boakye

Henry Nana Boakye, the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party, was as well present during the demonstration.

Admittedly, there may have been other notable personalities at the protest who may not have been captured in this article.
