The Founder and Leader of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has taken a swipe at the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), stating that the party has failed to support and protect its members during times of adversity and public backlash.
Commenting on the controversy involving the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, who has faced intense public scrutiny for handing out dollar notes to Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Agradaa, a former fetish priestess now turned evangelist, Prophet Nigel Gaisie criticised the NDC and some of its members for aligning with public opinion in condemning Gyamfi and calling for his dismissal.
He drew comparisons with the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), noting that they consistently shield their members regardless of the severity of the situation or scandal. In contrast, he asserted, the NDC tends to side with critics and detractors in condemning and distancing themselves from their own members.
“The difference between NPP and NDC is that NPP protects their own regardless of the offense or the situation at hand whiles NDC fight theirs openly with all their blood as though they didn't suffer before they had POWER....Let he that has not sin before cast the first STONE,” he shared on Facebook on Monday, May 12, 2025.
Gaisie went on to commend Sammy Gyamfi's character, highlighting the significant risks and efforts he undertook in service of the party — contributions he believes were instrumental in the NDC’s eventual return to power.
He condemned the seamingly deepening internal hatred within the party, warning that such divisions among its members could have serious implications and the potentially damaging consequences for the future of the NDC.
“NDC should better appreciate the fact that it is not a moral society but a political party so, at least they should learn something from the NPP. THEY PROTECT THEIR OWN EVEN IN THE FACE OF CREDIBLE EVIDENCE. Some people should get a life and stop the hatred. Nobody told them not to make it in life, too much hatred come on, Let love LEAD. Sammy Gyamfi is more than ONE THOUSAND MEN. YOU GUYS SHOULD PROTECT YOUR OWN...,” parts of his post read.
