Samia visits korle bu Patients for Easter

The Chair and Leader of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) Hon Samia Yaba Nkrumah has visited patients of a female ward at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra to mark Easter. She was accompanied by the 3rd National Vice Chairman of the party Mr K. Oteng-Anane, and the Party’s Director of Communication Nii Armah Akomfrah.

The CPP Leader spent time at the bedside of each of the 25 female patients of “Chenard A” Female Ward. She blessed and wished each of them a “get well soon” a “Happy Easter” and “Good luck for the future”.

Her presence on the ward brought cheer and happiness to the patients, with many wishing her well in return.

Samia Nkrumah thanked the Nurses, Porters and Security men for the wonderful work and service they render within Ghana’s Health Service.

The team were shown around the ward by the Principal Nursing Officer.

The good will and cheer spread to other medical officers outside the ward and to members of the public who wanted to share their concerns with the CPP Leader.

In discussions after the visit with members of the public, the CPP shared messages of hope.

The CPP takes this opportunity to share its Easter Message - Good Friday and the days after is traditionally the holiest of the year for Christians. A time of hope and resurrection.

We wish to remind all about the compassion and living example of Jesus. That this should lead to a new worldview full of hope and empowerment.

Easter should remind us that despite the challenges and hardships we face as individuals and our own human weaknesses, there is hope of a new day.

It should remind us that all is not lost and that with faith we can claim a brighter tomorrow. The great Easter message of hope should make us confident that in God’s goodness and love, we can triumph. The spiritual lessons offered in the resurrection of Jesus Christ should give our lives meaning and direction, and the opportunity to start over and live better lives, no matter what our present difficulties and circumstances. We wish to also remind ourselves that God vindicates nonviolence in the face of violence, defiant forgiveness in the face of hostility, courage in the face of despair.

Easter teaches us that Jesus overcame the dominant powers of the day through the miracle of resurrection.

As a people we must look to the future with renewed anticipation of good things to come. Our spirit must rise in confidence that the future will present opportunities for a better life for all.

Easter provided for the poor and oppressed communities of the 1st century the hope they required to change their worldview and ultimately the world itself.

Today the exploited, teachers and nurses, single parents, the homeless, the overworked and underpaid people of our country must know that there is hope, and with this they can face the challenges of life

The resurrection of our community will come and Ghana will work again for Ghana.

Ghana Must Work Again!!!!!
