Samara group of companies, the headline sponsors of TV3 Ghana Most Beautiful, has employed the services of three evicted pageants to distribute 30,000 exercise books worth GH? 66,000.00 to basic schools.
The pageants, including Sophia Bondzie (Central Region), Odeffour Nana Agyeiwaa (Western Region) and Josephine Asamoah (Brong Ahafo), were given 10,000 exercise books each to distribute to basic schools.
The gesture is in collaboration with TV3 to showcase the rich and colourful nature of the Ghanaian culture and to bind the country together with one common destiny.
The Chief Executive Chairman of the company, Sampson Effah Apraku said it was part of the social responsibility of the corporate entity to give back to the society.
“As a Ghanaian company, we believe in the rich culture of the country because we believe a nation without a culture is a lost nation. It is our fervent desire to promote education in the country.
“We therefore intend to help the government and the Ministry of Education in providing free exercise books to these ladies to distribute to selected schools in their various regions.”
The Deputy Minister of Education Alex Kyeremeh congratulated the company for the approach and called on other corporate bodies to emulate the gesture and give back to society.
