The State Transport Company (STC) says it is struggling with barely 50-fleet of buses to serve its customers who wish to patronize it services nationwide.

“The numbers of buses available is not enough for us, but we are still putting things in place to get more. As I speak now STC has only 50 buses and looking at how we are currently operating in all part of the country, then you should know that it’s woefully inadequate.

This is why we are not making lots of advertisements in the country”. The Deputy Director of STC, Mr. Sintim Aboagye told Angel Fm in Kumasi last Saturday in an interview.

Mr. Sintim further noted that the organization is still working hard to use the available buses efficiently to reach out all the ten regions.

“We are making things possible to receive more buses at least the preceding month ahead of us”. Mr. Sintim affirmed, adding that, the expectation is to have minimum 200 and maximum 300 buses to operate effectively across the country.

He further assured the state transport system will soon resurrect.

Anybody who boards the STC now enjoys a washroom, internet access, food warmer, refrigerator, and a USB pod for passengers to charge their phones.

One interesting aspect of the state transport is the introduction of cubing crew who serve passengers whiles they travel.

STC is also assuring it, customers of safety, as they travel to their destinations within any part of the country.
