SHS placement: Parents hold vigil at independence square

YEN.com.gh has sighted a sad and emotional video on Joynews of how some parents and prospective senior high school students who were awaiting placement had turned the Black star square into a church.

In the video both parents and their wards were fervently praying for the intervention of God in their wards' SHS placement.

At the mercy of mosquitoes and the weather, these people were hopeful that they would be attended to if day breaks.

Speaking to Joynews, one of the prospective students said he had been place in a single track institution which had no boarding facilities to accommodate those like him who would be coming from far.
