SCCP launches Swiff credit card

*The SCCP Payment Services Holding has launched a new innovative platform for Mobile Point of Sale devices in Africa called Swiff at the last AITEC International Banking and Mobile Money Conference and Exhibition held in Accra at the tail end of last month 28-29 May 2012.*

According to SCCP, *Swiff *is meant to create a new global standard for secure and instantaneous cashless payments between individuals, merchants and banks using mobile phones which includes iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android and Blackberry devices as credi/debit card terminals and will soon be on Windows-based mobile devices as well.

*Swiff* is the world’s first complete end-to-end solution which provides the same high level of security as existing chip-and-pin debit cards, with the benefits of being completely mobile.

Mr. Julienne Loh, Vice President and Country Manager of MasterCard in Singapore, where the SCCP’s master product (Swiff) was first launched on 22 March, 2012 said in a press release that *“Swiff is an easy-to-use and secure platform which brings us one step closer to a world beyond cash, something that we at MasterCard are working towards. We see Swiff playing significant role not only in increasing small business accessibility to cashless payments, but also helping them reduce cost and improve effeciecy… adding that beyond the benefits to businesses, consumers stand to enjoy even more seamless customer experience with Swiff, as merchants now have an additional platform to enhance and be creative with the way they interact with their customers.”*

According to the statement*, Swiff *is the only mobile payment platform that currently allows merchants and customers the ability to track individual devices and its corresponding location where payments were transacted.

The Chief Executive Officer and a Co-Founder of SCCP Payments Services, Jerome Cle indicated that *“Swiff embeds a Multi-Factor Authentication in payment application using bank-level security which provides merchants with a greater confidence to prevent misuse and decrease chargebacks.”*

Also, Etienne Van den Bogaet, the Chief Operating Officer stated that the * Swiff* is keenly targetting the F&B sector, Telecommunications, logistics and hospitality sectors of the economy as well as the million of busineses throughout the world including developing economies that have traditionally been locked out of the lucrative credit card transaction market due to high cost of implementating a credit card terminal.
