SC verdict should be accepted in good faith

The General Overseer of Holyfire International Churches, the Right Reverend Bishop Reginald Ofori-Twumasi, has stated that the verdict of the Supreme Court on the election petition would confirm what God had destined for the country

He, therefore, entreated the supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress and opposition New Patriotic Party to accept the verdict in good faith without resorting to violence.

Bishop Ofori-Twumasi expressed these sentiments in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Takoradi, on Sunday,

He said the hearts of the judges were in the hands of God, therefore, the verdict would reflect the will of God, saying that: “God controls the hearts of men, therefore, who can straighten what he has made crooked.”

He urged all Ghanaians to give thanks to God no matter how sweet or bitter the verdict would be so that there would be peace, harmony and unity in the country to accelerate the development of the nation.

Earlier in a sermon, Bishop Ofori-Twumasi charged Christians to renew their faith in God since he answers the prayers of believers based on their faith, and entreated them to be humble and heed the voice of God at all times.

He indicated that those who put their trust in God would never be disappointed, but would reap the benefits of their trust in him, and cited Gideon, who God used to save the Israelites from the oppression of the Midianites, and said there is nothing impossible to God.
