Jirapa, (U/W), April 13, GNA - Sonzele Rural Bank Limited, located at Jirapa in the Upper West Region has donated an X-Ray Processor valued at GH¢28,728.14 to the Saint Joseph's Hospital at Jirapa.
The facility is expected to improve the quality of health care services to patients in the area. Mr Albert K. Bosoro, Board Chairman of the Bank, who presented the facility on behalf the Bank, said the gesture was part of the bank's corporate social responsibility.
He said the bank also donated 100 bags of cement at the cost of GH¢15,000 to the hospital last year to enable it to undertake certain renovation works within the hospital to make it comfortable and attractive to both patients and the public.
Mr Bosoro urged the Authorities of the hospital to put the facility to good use to enable it benefit the people. Dr Richard Wudah-Seme, the Medical Director of the hospital, thanked the bank for the kind gesture and assured them that the facility would be put to good use.
He lauded the fruitful relationship that existed between the bank and the hospital and urged them to sustain the relationship for the hospital to provide efficient services to its clients. He appealed to the bank to adopt one of the wards to be named after it in recognition of its support over the years.
