• (Statesman) -- In Tamale, on Saturday, 20 December 2008, some leading members of the NDC had a secret meeting with officials of mobile telecommunication operators MTN and Stanbic Bank. The meeting, according to a source, was to deliberate on issues of financial packages from the banking premier Stanbic Bank and MTN.

• The National Democratic Congress says it has uncovered plots by the ruling New Patriotic Party to put ex-president Rawlings under house arrest.

• The NPP says there is a ‘Hit list’ being masterminded by the NDC to kill some topnotch personalities in Ghana

• NDC is circulating documents with huge sums of monies running into several billions of cedis, showing the account numbers and names of certain Ministers and members of the ruling NPP on a supposed Prudential Bank letterhead to create the impression that those monies had been siphoned from state coffers by those whose names were given.

• (Daily Guide) -A team of assassins, specially trained to carry out mafia-like executions of targeted individuals had arrived in the country and was at a hideout in Sogakope in the Volta region

• (General Secretary of CPP, Mr lvor Greenstreet) -- CPP members in the Northern Region were being forced to join the NDC else they risk having their houses burnt and other properties destroyed.
