The growing feud between a spiritual father and son does not seem to be ending anytime soon as the former has taken the harsh decision to disown the latter.

Founder and leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has withdrawn his posture as spiritual father of Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, head of the Glorious Wave Ministry.

Addressing a gathering of journalists from selected media houses, Rev. Owusu Bempah stated that his decision to disown Prophet Badu Kobi stemmed from the latter’s continual insubordination and refusal to heed his counsel.

“Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi who prophesied during the campaign season that a certain party would win the elections and also added that a particular candidate cannot be President of Ghana, is no longer my spiritual son. This is because he doesn’t heed to my counsel and has joined a certain company of individuals that I’m not comfortable with against my wishes,” He stated.

Citing other instances where renowned religious leaders had disowned their spiritual sons, he noted that he is not the first to take such a stance.

The Glorious Word Ministry International founder was quick to add that his decision to disown Prophet Kobi had nothing to do with his political affiliation or political figures the latter has befriended.

It will be recalled that Rev. Owusu Bempah threatened to expose certain secrets of his spiritual son (Prophet Kobi) in order to collapse his church.

But in a related development, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi expressed gratitude to his ‘ex-spiritual father’ in a statement noting that he would never disrespect him despite the bad blood between them.

Although Rev. Owusu Bempah refused to reveal the company that his former spiritual son had aligned himself with, the latter disclosed that he would never resort to using occultic means to run his ministry.

Below is the full statement from Prophet Emmanuel Kobi:

I wish to express my profound gratitude to my ex spiritual father prophet Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah, the leader and founder of glorious word and power ministry

He has loved me as a son and I have also loved him as a father for the past seventeen years of our spiritual relationship

In the midst of my God given assignment, I willingly submitted myself to him first as my mentor and later as my spiritual father.

I therefore use this opportunity to thank him for all that he has done for me. By this release I wish him well in all his future endeavors.

Also, I wish to use this medium to inform all my followers that never have I and ever will I consult any deity for my god given assignment because God almighty is enough for me.

Rev. Owusu Bempah further stated that he would disclose the company that Prophet Kobi had joined; the reason for which he disowned him.
