Rev. Boadu supports Loving Hearts International Ministry

The Head Pastor of Calvary Life Baptist Chapel, Rev. Lord Ashanti Boadu together with his partners abroad Rabbi Robert Pristoop, Head pastor of Shofarel Jewish Ministries in collaboration with Loving Heart International Ministry have donated medical equipment and medicines wealth USD30,000 to Assin North Municipal Assembly to be distributed to the newly constructed Polyclinic and other deplorable hospitals and clinics within the District.

The donation was made as part of a medical crusade organised by Loving Heart International Ministry, a Non-Denominational Organisation at the Assin Fosu Park on November 4, 2017.

About 5000 people suffering from various degrees of ailments, drawn from Assin Fosu and its surrounding areas within the district were screened and received free medical items ranging from wheelchairs, hospital beds, walkers, canes, and other medical consumables.

Presenting the items, Rev. Lord Ashanti Boadu said the medical equipment donation form part of his ministry humanitarian efforts directed at helping the vulnerable in society.

He said the idea of the medical donation was motivated by his visit to a clinic somewhere in Kumasi where he discovered that the clinic lacked the necessary equipment.

According to him, he took it upon himself to solicit for support from companies and donations from church members to support the clinic and since then, he has been donating to other deplorable hospitals and communities such as Kwaso clinic as well as Adjumakase kesse Hospital both in Kumasi.

He also hinted that there are plans underway to donate to other communities later in the year and also plans to build shelters for street dwellers.

He said when Rev Mrs Nana Achia hinted him that she was going to have a crusade and free medical screening in this community and that there is a need for some medical equipment for the program, he felt there was the need to come up with something to assist humanity.

“So with the help of my church members, the Shofarel Jewish Ministry and support from companies, we have been able to put these few things together to support this program, and we are sure we will be doing more than this. Especially, as we know there is much need in this area” he said.

Hon. Nicolas Kofi Baako Municipal Chief Executive of Assin North who received the items on behalf of the beneficiaries expressed his appreciation to Rev. Lord Ashanti Boadu and Loving Heart Ministry for the kind gesture and urged the hospital and the beneficiaries to make judiciary use of the items.

In his remarks, the head pastor of the Shofarel Jewish Ministry, Rabbi Robert Pristoop said the medical outreach program was good and that he was overwhelmed to see so many people with various problems that needed help; “we are only able to supply small portion of that need here, even though there is a lot of staffs there, it is just not enough and it may not be the right kind of staff they need. We need more variety of medical staffs to send here and we are going to work harder to get more staff over here,” Rabbi Pristoop hinted.

He said they were encouraged to do more but their bigger problem is the cost of shipment to bring them down here.

According to him, if they could get donors to support them to ship the items they will be encouraged to organise more staff.

The organiser of the medical crusade Rev. Mrs Nana Achia Otu Appiah, Head pastor of Loving Heart International Ministry a non-denominational organisation said her ministry is a helping ministry that moves out to reach the people with the intention of showing the love of Christ to as many people as possible.

She therefore commended Rev. Lord Ashanti Boadu and his partners for their support.
