Rev Bempah duped 1 billion

The Founder and General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Rev. Dr. Owusu Bempah who has overtly flex his muscle for possessing spiritual powers from God to foretell the future could not utilize his ‘God given talent” to avert a trick by a world acclaim con man who coolly duped him to the tune of 1 billion old Ghana cedis.

The Man of God attracted media attention over his admission that God had revealed to him that the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will emerge winner of the December 7, election failure of which will result in a bloodbath in the country.

A source at the Police headquarters in Accra disclosed to The Al-Hajj that one Joe Krampah, an ex-military officer who posed as a national security operative absconded with that colossal amount of money under the pretext of selling luxurious auction cars at the Osu Castle to Rev. Dr. Owusu Bempah. Joe Krampah, who is said to be a world acclaimed fraudster and who was noted for twisting the arms of innocent Ghanaians who fall prey to his tricks according to the source was introduced to the Man of God by his sister who have also doled out valuable amount of money from his boy friend to the pseudo national security operative with the same aim of buying auction cars.

According to the source ever since Rev Owusu Bempah gave the money to Joe Krampah, he has been scouting for him across the length and breadth of the country to either take delivery of the cars he paid for or get back his money. Our checks at the Police Headquarters revealed that Joe Krampah has been on the police wanted list for several offences including taking money from people under the ploy of selling lands at the International Students’ Hostel, which is being used to put up the new Foreign Affairs ministry block to them. Ironically, Rev Owusu Bempah who has embarked on an intense bragging spree on the airwaves over his crooked prophecy could not use his supposed spiritual powers to uncover Joe Krampah’s ploy

Rev. Dr. Owusu Bempah, earlier this year warned of an imminent civil war if Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan allowed himself to be used by politicians in the just ended elections. According to him, the nation could be plunged into chaos if Dr. Afari-Gyan allowed himself to be manipulated by politicians for their selfish interest. He therefore advised the electoral commissioner to stand firm and conduct the elections in a free, fair and transparent manner, adding, “He must not allow himself to be influenced by money or anything.”

Recently, Rev. Dr. Owusu Bempah nearly turned the studios of Metro Television station into a boxing arena to throw punches at Ghana’s world acclaimed satirist, Kwaku Sintim Misa or KSM.

He is reported to have flared up whilst reacting to a solemn advice by KSM not to hide behind the smoke screens of religiosity to incite violence on public television, especially when the political tension in the country was still at its peak, leading to a fierce scuffle.

According to media reports, KSM had finish an interview on Metro TV’s weekend entertainment program Morning Ride hosted by Anita Owusu when he heard Rev Bempah who had just replaced him on the show making comments that could aggravate the tension in the country.

“Those of us on duty that day heard Rev Bempah make statements to the effect that in the spiritual world, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, defeated presidential candidate of the New Patriotic party was the legitimate winner of the December 7, 2012 election, but the chairman of the Electoral Commission, Dr Afari Gyan skewed the results to favor the President Mahama” stated a source.

The Reverend Minister the report stated accused the chairman of the EC of conniving with evil powers to rob Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP of victory and due to this the country is on the verge of experiencing bloodbath in the coming days.

“Upon hearing this, KSM who was about leaving decided to wait in the studio and after Rev Bempah had finished with the interview with Anita, approached him politely to draw his attention to the possible implications of his pronouncement. KSM mentioned to the pastor that If indeed, God had ordained Nana to become President of Ghana, He (KSM) believes no man could have curtailed that” A source noted

The source further stated that the ace comedian’s peaceful advice was misconstrued by Rev Bempah who lashed bitter verbal attacks on KSM’s personality and described him as character who has a long standing history of been used by evil forces to attack pastors.

“KSM replied by saying…I have a long standing history of attacking 419 pastors like you, Rev Bempah” the source pointed out.

This according to the source it nearly degenerated into fisticuff, but for the swift intervention by some young pastors accompanying Rev. Bempah and Metro TV technicians, an Obinim-like scene would have been recorded.
