Retired Teacher Defiles Epileptic Girl?

Hohoe, Nov 7, GNA - Emmanuel Ofori Yaw Agbeko, a 65-year-old retired educationist, has found himself entangled with the law when he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl.

Agbeko, who was remanded into prison custody, would re-appear on November 22.

His plea was deferred.

Mr Benjamin Dadzie, Assistant Superintendent of Police, told the court that Agbeko lured the girl by sending her to buy him kenkey on October 16 when victim was watching a football match at the E. P School’s park in Hohoe.

He said victim returned with the kenkey but could not find her former teacher and traced him to his house.

Agbeko forcibly dragged the victim into his bed, removed panties and sexually defiled her.

He said the suspect cowed victim with death threats when she attempted to scream and gave her four Ghana cedis and pleaded with her not to reveal her ordeal but she informed her mother about the act.

Mr Dadzie said Agbeko fled when he saw victim’s mother and an aunt approaching his house and a report was then made to the police and Agbeko was arrested.
