Residents of Adanse Akrofuom still traumatised by helicopter crash

Residents of Adanse Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region are still grappling with the trauma of witnessing the tragic helicopter crash that claimed eight lives.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident has left a lasting impact on the community, with many residents expressing shock and distress.

In an interview with OTEC News reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng on Sunday, August 10, 2025, residents described the crash as a harrowing experience they will never forget.

One resident, Ante Akosua, shared her emotional account, saying: “I was born in 1968 and have never seen such a crash before. To this day, the incident is unbelievable to me.”

The residents extended their condolences to the families of the victims and to President John Dramani Mahama.

They also urged the public to unite in mourning and to support the bereaved families during this difficult time.
