Renovate School for the Blind - Headmaster

Akropong-Akuapem (E/R), April 9, GNA - The Headmaster of the Akropong School for the Blind, the Reverend M.O.K. Moamere, has appealed to the Ghana Education Service to rehabilitate the school.

He said the school has not seen any major renovation in recent years resulting in the deterioration of infrastructure. Rev. Moamere made the appeal when Pan-African Foundation for Humanity International, donated a quantity of clothing, bedspread, towels, footwear, dispensary kits and foam mattresses valued at 1,000 dollars to the school at Akropong Akuapem on Friday.

The items were handed over by the Reverend Kwadwo Amo, Senior Pastor in- charge of the Tesano Baptist Church, Accra, an affiliate of the foundation and received by Mr Albert Larbi, a member of the school's board.

Rev. Moamere said the boys' dormitory leaks badly while the school needs Braille papers to facilitate teaching and learning.
