The Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu, has called for the collective vigilance of Ghanaians in resisting governments efforts to implement a comprehensive Sexuality Education course for Ghanaian school children.

The minority leader addressing a press conference organised by Minority Members of Parliament yesterday announced the support of former President John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress Party and the Minority MPs support against the implementation of the CSE, describing it as temptation.

“President John Dramani Mahama of the NDC joins Ghanaians who still have morals and respect those morals and values, together with the minority in parliament that this temptation we will resist it.”

He thus called for the general vigilance and support of the Ghanaian population in resisting the implementation of the CES.

“We encourage all Ghanaians to remain vigilant, resolute and be determined to collectively resist this sinister move by the Nana Addo Dankwa administration”

Government is facing fierce resistance from various sections of Ghanaians after it emerged that the Ghana Education Service is planning on rolling out a Comprehensive Sexuality Education course for Ghanaian school children.

Critics of the CSE say it is a plot by the LGBT community to precondition Ghanaians for LGBT lifestyle using the education system.

One of the many bodies including religious ones that have risen against the CSE is the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council whose President, Prof Frimpong Manso described the CSE as a “satanic engagement.”
