Release CCTV footage on your residence - Fiagbe dares Akufo-Addo

Member of the NDC Communications team, Mr. Kobby Fiagbe Member of the NDC Communications team, Mr. Kobby Fiagbe

NDC Communicator Kobby Fiagbe has dared Nana Addo to release the CCTV footage on the violent clash between his bodyguards and some supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Mr. Fiagbe told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that the confrontations were ignited by the bodyguards of the NPP Presidential candidate which resulted in the violence that took place at his residence.

According to him, the NDC supporters did nothing wrong and never provoked the bodyguards.

He recounted that as the NDC supporters were in procession towards Nana Addo's residence, one of the bodyguards confronted them saying Nana Addo was asleep and so intended to stop them from using the road.

He therefore fired gunshots into the crowd after realizing the supporters would not kowtow to him.

"Bring out the CCTV footage. Make it public for every Ghanaian to know that it was this NDC person that veered off the main road and branched even towards Akufo-Addo’s house. Let alone even came to the gate. Let alone even banged on the gate or even tried to enter there . . . Everybody should join in the demand that Akufo-Addo should release the CCTV. What are they afraid of?” he challenged Nana Addo.

Kobby Fiagbe stated emphatically that Nana Addo has failed to release the CCTV footage because it will expose his bodyguards.

"I hear they say for security reasons, they cannot release it. What security reason is more pressing than a supposed attack on your residence that puts the life of the people you house and your children, and your wife at risk? What security concern can be even more grievous than this? Such that you’ll put the thing out, the perpetrators will be identified and dealt with in a manner that will send a clear signal to the people that these are unacceptable under our laws," he said.

"The only reason why you will not put the footages out is because you know clearly it will show the time your security guard came out of the house to confront the demonstrators. It will show clearly the time he went back to take weapon and come, and start shooting. So, you’ll see clearly that he is the reason that the whole confrontation took place. That is the only reason why you’ll not put the reason out."
