Ms Grace Addo, the Member of Parliament for Amansie West, has appealed to her constituents to turn out in their numbers to register during the biometric voters’ registration exercise.
She said all qualified voters should ensure that they get their names in the electoral roll.
She said this when speaking at a meeting to educate the chiefs and people of the Manso-Nkwanta traditional area on the registration.
Ms Addo said without the biometric voter identification card they could not vote in the December 7, presidential and parliamentary elections.
She warned against double registration and said offenders would have themselves to blame and advised minors and aliens to stay away from the exercise to avoid trouble.
She called on the chiefs to encourage people in their communities to take the registration exercise seriously.
The Omanhene, Nana Bi-Kusi Appiah II, said they would do everything to ensure its success and make this year’s poll free, fair and credible.**
