Reconciliation Commission Appointed

...Amua-Sekyi is Head

THE President, in consultation with the Council of State, has appointed the members of the National Reconciliation Commission.

The nine-member commission is chaired by Mr Justice K. E. Amua-Sekyi, a retired Supreme Court Judge.

Other members are: the Most Rev Charles Gabriel Palmer Buckle, Catholic Bishop of Koforidua; Maulvi Wahab Adam, Ameer and Missionary in-charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission; Professor Florence Abena Dolphyne, former Pro-Vice-Chancellor of University of Ghana; and Professor Henrietta Mensa-Bonsu, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Law, University of Ghana.

The rest are Dr (Mrs) Sylvia Boye, formerly of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC); Mr Christian Appiah-Adjei, former Secretary-General of the Trades Union Congress; Lt-General Emmanuel A. Erskine, former Commander of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Lebanon; and Uborr Dalafu Labal II, Paramount Chief of Sangulu in the Northern Region.

Mr Kwabena Agyapong, Government Spokesman, made this known at a press briefing at the Castle, Osu, in Accra today.
