Rawlings is suffering

Former President Jerry John Rawlings is not a happy man. Since he declared support for his wife’s ambition to become President of Ghana he has been bombarded with insults and all manner of attacks.

Interestingly persons who have been Rawlings fanatics and loyalists over the last 20 years or more have joined the frenzy. Some of the messages sent directly to Mr. Rawlings personal cell phone have not been complimentary at all.

The Insight newspaper is reproducing one of the messages sent to the cell phone of former president Rawlings on Monday, 14, 2012 by a well known loyalist.

The damning message is reproduced unedited;

“Daddy, now we are tired of you. The tricks are too numerous. You have created enmity for your children before you leave this earth.

“Instead of nurturing Kimathi to go to Parliament so he can rise to the presidency, you have rather destroyed the young man’s future. “Now look at the anger and the insults people are raising on you. “Remember we helped you to reach where you are.

“Even if you like, you can merge the NDP and the NPP and NDC will still win. “NDC is written in the hearts of the people already. “Your crowd at Kumasi does not scare us. We wish you well. We thank you very much for not appreciating the work we did for you to succeed.

“Because of you wife, 25 million people should suffer. “On the day of election, God will show you that He is the King.

“Good night”.
