Students of the Bosome Senior High School in the Ashanti region, need urgent intervention to bring life back to normalcy, after the school was hit with a devastating rainstorm yesterday, which destroyed properties worth thousands of cedis.

A local from the area, Mmrantie hene who spoke to Kasapa FM on the issue said the rainstorm ripped off the roof of the Boys’ dormitory block in the school, while damaging the high tension poles.

According to him, students after the incident have been living in darkness because power has still not been restored after the heavy rainstorm.

“The entire community is living in darkness. The situation has brought inconvenience to students because they need lights to study their books and revise for the ongoing WASSCE exams,” he said.

The Boys Prefect of the school, Amo Mensah Emmanuel who narrated their ordeal to Kasapa FM said school authorities have secured for them a makeshift structure to house the affected students, but the situation leaves much to be desired.

“The rainy weather wreak havoc for us because the condition here is not good. We are not safe at all.” he bemoaned.

He said in view of the situation students cannot study at night, and may have to put with the current situation, by sacrificing to study during daytime.
