Rainstorm Hits Manso

Manso (B/A) A rainstorm has hit Manso in the Nkoranza District and blown off the roofs of 15 houses, rendering 200 people homeless. The assemblyman for the area, Mr Joseph Amponsah and the local chief, Nana Menka Ameyaw who conducted newsmen round to inspect the affected buildings, estimated the cost of property destroyed at about 20 million cedis. According to Mr Amponsah, the displaced people are putting up with friends and relatives. Nana Ameyaw said a similar rainstorm hit the town in December last year destroying 16 houses but the landlords are finding it difficult to repair them. He appealed to the Nkoranza district assembly, the national disaster relief committee and benevolent agencies to go to the aid of the victims. Gri
