QuadraMed to Assist Ghana Healthcare Company ...

QuadraMed Corporation today announced that Ghana Healthcare Company Limited (GHC), a health insurance provider in Ghana, Africa, has purchased the EZ-CAP? managed care information system to support their need to implement a national health insurance program in Ghana. With a population of 18.5 million, Ghana has long had issues with healthcare financing. The $1.5 million contract marks the seventh international sale of EZ-CAP, which is also being used in South Africa, Singapore and the Philippines.

QuadraMed's EZ-CAP solution allows physician-hospital organizations, managed care organizations, and independent physician associations to manage patient, coverage, and financial information so they are able to validate membership eligibility, adjudicate claims with varying benefit structures, and accurately process and pay claims.

``EZ-CAP's scalability and ability to process information for a vast enrollee population led us to our decision,'' stated Ghana Healthcare Company's CEO, Kwamina Amoasi-Andoh. ``As we make our changes to the Ghanaian healthcare delivery system, we are pleased to have QuadraMed's managed care expertise supporting us. We believe that our success with EZ-CAP will create further interest in the product throughout Africa,'' he added.
