Nana Effah Apramang III, the Kwahu Obomenghene, has urged President Nana Akufo-Addo to prosecute corrupt government officials who will try to put his government's work in disrepute.

Nana Effah Apramang III made this statement while addressing a gathering at his coronation at Kwahu Obomeng in the Eastern Region on Saturday, April 15.

He urged President Akufo-Addo “to penalise those who will dip their hands into government coffers to serve as a deterrent to others”.

He prayed for blessings for the President and his officials and pleaded for more educational infrastructure in Obomeng.

On his part, President Akufo-Addo assured the chief and the people of the country that the independent state prosecutor will handle all issues involving corrupt government officials.

“It will be laid before parliament within the shortest possible time to have it backed by law,” he added.
