The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper Kweku Baako Junior has advised the ruling National Democratic Congress to interrogate the over 60,000 ‘No’ votes against President John Mahama in the party’s just ended presidential and parliamentary primaries.

According to him, the sheer size of the number that voted against the President even when he contested alone, makes it difficult to ignore.

Mahama received an overwhelming 95% endorsement, having polled 1,199,118 'Yes' votes representing 95.10%.

Out of the over two million party members expected to cast their votes, 61,836 voted 'No' representing 4.90% in relation to President Mahama’s candidature in 265 out of 275 constituencies.

Speaking on Newsfile on Joy FM Saturday, the social commentator urged the NDC to treat the dissenting votes seriously.

“For over 60,000 of its own supporters to vote against the President when he contested alone, the party must do some interrogation,” Baako said.
