Private companies facing challenge to get government Support – Alan Kyerematen

The Minister for Trade and Industries, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten has hinted that government will soon provide financial support to private companies facing challenges.

The move according to him is to revive collapsing private companies to be able to employ the teeming graduates as well as contribute to the growth of the economy.

Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng was speaking at the open ceremony of the fourth edition of the Eastern Regional Trade fair at the Koforidua Jackson Park in the New Juaben Municipality.

He indicated that government’s motive is to create employment to the unemployed graduates and to assist the private sectors to stretch their wings across board in their businesses.

“The government is providing funds to assist companies who are facing challenges, massive employment to the unemployed”, he said.

He lamented that it is critical that Ghanaians take the industrial agenda of government very seriously to help improve access to long-term financing.
The government he added is targeting the establishment of industrial parks in the ten regions of Ghana and appealed for support from the Regional Ministers and the traditional leaders in the region.

“Our government wishes to establish industrial parks which will be made reliable to energy, water, and other facilities, the support should come from the Regional Ministers and the traditional leaders in the regions”, he declared.

The “Branding Eastern for Export” fair is aimed at promoting the effort and toils of individual entrepreneurs as well as exhibiting their creative artifacts through their products and goods.

The opening ceremony was attended by dignitaries and guests from government, religious groups, and the traditional area.

The trade fair is organized to give all the twenty-six Municipal and District Assemblies, individual and group entrepreneurs from the ten regions the opportunity to exhibit and showcase their natural resources as well as their God-given talents to the rest of the world.

It is also aimed at assisting and supporting the initiative of the current government in promoting Ghana made products and goods.
