Private Healthcare service providers demand arrears from NHIA

Health group, named Responsive Private Healthcare Service Providers Association of Ghana (ROPHESPAG) are demanding for payment of arrears owed them by the National Health Insurance Authority.

The association lamented that they are yet to receive payment from August 2018 to March 2019.

They further indicated that the Ministry of Health must review the new operational price list, labeling it as an unrealistic tariff.

According to them, the new tariff, when approved will improve the quality of service, since providers will be forced to work on that terms.

ROPHESPAG appealed to government, Ministry of Health, Parliamentary Select Committee on Heath, NHIA and all stakeholders to treat their call with urgency to pre-empt any imminent action from the aggrieved service providers.

They made their grievances known in a press release signed by the Executive Director of the association, Joseph Christian Amuah, copied to Ghanaweb.
