The Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, says parents, who prevent their children from the uncontrolled exposure to electronic devices are worthy of praise.

His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, said the proper upbringing of children in the society was challenging for religious parents, who cared about the future of their children.

His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, was speaking during the ladies session at the 52nd Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Hampshire here in the United Kingdom.

The Annual event also known as Jalsa Salana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK, is a unique event that brings more than 35,000 participants from over 100 countries.

The three-day event is to increase religious knowledge and promote a sense of peace and brotherhood among Ahmadi Muslim.

He said games and electronic devices have been the cause of family breakdown, adding that these devices have made intelligent people cautious of the disunity they caused in families.

“Modern technology has many benefits but their harm is in the process of overweighing the advantage,” he added.

The Spiritual Leader called on family not to waste much time on their various devices but rather continue to promote family unity.

He said worldly people fall prey to the negative impacts of modern technology but Ahmadi Muslims should be aware of this.

“We must practically show that we give preference to our faith over all worldly objectives.”

He called on them to pay more attention to the spiritual upliftment of the family rather than concerning on mobile phones and other devices.

A number of Parliamentarians, Civic Leaders and Diplomats from different countries would be addressing the gathering and underline the convention's objective of enhancing unity, understanding and mutual respect.

The highlight of the event would be a mass pledge of allegiance to the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslims, and that would commit his followers to an absolute devotion to peace.

His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, who is the fifth successor of the Promised Messiah benevolent leadership, provides the community with unity, guidance and direction, ensuring that it remained devoted to God and to the service of humankind.

The Jalsa features exhibitions about the community's international activities and other educational stands. Special guided tours are also available.
