President's speech, unifying - Owusu-Adjapong

Accra, Jan. 4, GNA - The Majority Leader, Mr Felix Owusu-Adjapong on Tuesday said President John Agyekum Kufuor's State of the Nation Address was unifying, elaborate and impressive.

He said the five priority areas President Kufuor promised to tackle at the beginning of his term "is on course and has rekindled our hopes for the future".

Social infrastructure and services; energy; roads; health; agriculture and Private Sector development, which the President promised is progressing steadily' he said.

The Majority Leader, who was speaking to the GNA in Parliament, said as the Leader of the House, he was happy that the President, "for the first time in our history was bold enough to heed to Article 67 of the Constitution, which mandates the President to deliver the State of the Nation Address at the end of every term".
