President appoints board of directors for GEAC and EPA

President John Agyekum Kufuor appointed a nine-member board for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panyin, Okyehene as its Chairman.

A statement issued in Accra named other members as Dr. P.C. Acquah, Executive Director of EPA, Professor A. A Oteng Yeboah, Dr. Joseph Mote Odonkor, representing Standards Board and Mr. E. O. Nsenkyire.

The rest are Mr. Michael Mensah, representing the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development while Mr. S. B Nyantekyi and Dr Nii Ayite Coleman are respectively representing the Ministries of Finance and Health. Mr K.C Appiah-Num is representative of Ministry of Education.

Meanwhile, Professor Adjei Bekoe, Former Vice Chancellor of University of Ghana also becomes the Chairman of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GEAC) Board.

Other members are Professor A. Ayensu, Director General of GEAC, Prof. (Mrs.) Aba Andam, Physicist, Prof. James Hawkins Ephraim, Chemist, representing the Research Staff Association, Yeboah Mensah and Dr Rexford Osei, representing the Ministry Environment, Science and Technology.
