President Mahama to visit Germany

Ghana's President His Excellency Mr John Dramani Mahama begins a three-day visit to Germany on Sunday, 18th of January 2015 at the invitation of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

According to a statement issued by the Ghana Embassy in Berlin signed by Her Excellency Akua Sena Dansua, His Excellency the President is schedule to meet the leadership of the Ghanaian Community in Germany, on Tuesday, 20th January 2015.

The venue of the event is the Intercontinental Hotel, Budepester Str 2, 10787 Berlin. The time is 18.00 hours. UGAG, the various Ghanaian Associations, Ethnic Groups, Churches and Mosques were expected to present to their leaders 5 representatives.

Before meeting the community, at 9.00 am, at the KFW, Charlottenstrasse 33 10117 Berlin, there shall be an Investment Forum co-organized by Afrika-Verein e.V. and Ghana Embassy Berlin.

The meeting is a good omen, as he is expected to cease the opportunity to enlighten his citizens on the current state of affairs of the nation, achievements and challenges facing his government. The Ghanaian leader would definitely be hosted in Berlin by Chancellor Merkel and probable meet the German President.

The last time a sitting Ghanaian president met the Ghanaian community was June 2002 with the then President John Kufuor.
